GFS SUSTAINABILITY MODEL

Our circular business model - for you and for the Earth

Benefits for Companies

Discover economically viable and sustainable solutions for fiberglass and carbon fiber recycling with Global Fiberglass Solutions. With a goal of reducing carbon footprint among manufacturers and end users of fiberglass composites, we present various benefits that make our solutions practical and sustainable.

Companies and organizations can opt to divert fiberglass waste from landfill or incineration by partnering with us. GFS offers not only tailored composite recycling service but tailored product opportunities via the recycled processed waste. The GFS waste management solution is truly circular and zero-waste.

Furthermore, utilizing our services may open opportunities for recycling credits or other benefits to operating an environmentally sustainable business practice. Ask us about our recycling certification system or contact us with further questions.

Benefits for the Planet

Globally, over 60 percent of total CH4 emissions come from human activities, including from waste management activities*.

Solid waste landfills are the single largest man-made source of methane gas in the United States. Ton for ton, waste prevention, reuse, and recycling / composting reduce more pollution, save more energy, and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions more than any other activity**.

GFS' recycling efforts and products are tailored to reduce emissions and to eliminate environmental liabilities. The time is now -- we address this global problem as a business for the good of our planetary ecosystem and the living population within it.

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

Global Fiberglass Solutions strives for stewardship to our planet and all who live on it.

Business Leadership

GFS aims to be not only the first in fiberglass recycling + manufacturing, but the best and to set a standard of excellence in this emerging industry. We only use non-toxic, environmentally safe resins in our recycled products.

Furthermore, GFS has and continues to collaborate with government, NGO and university bodies in the research, development and promotion of cradle-to-cradle, zero waste technologies worldwide. Some key collaborations are with Washington State University's Composite Materials & Engineering Center and the Washington State Department of Commerce.

Taking care of the team that's taking care of the planet

At GFS, no matter which location, every employee is an integral part of the team. We employ a diverse, dedicated workforce from all walks of life. Employees have opportunities to enhance their skills on the job and to learn new ones. GFS recognizes when employees go above and beyond to support our mission, vision and values -- every month the Employee of the Month can be seen on our Team page. We enable our employees to achieve more with flexible working arrangements such as the option to work from home as needed.

Charitable Efforts

GFS participates in community efforts and supports charitable causes. One of the co-founders of GFS, the late Ken Weyant, was also a founding board member of The Max Foundation. The Max Foundation enables cancer patients to have access to treatment in areas around the world in which they would not have access. Like the problem of what to do with decommissioned wind turbine blades, with the Max Foundation Ken saw an unsolved issue and found ways to solve it. GFS is proud to support the Foundation in honor of Ken's legacy.
