Karl Englund manages GFS’ research and development efforts and has been collaborating with GFS’ executive team for four years. He officially became Chief Technology Officer in December of 2017. Karl oversees the development of GFS’ manufacturing facilities, composite product performance and properties and research development of new feedstocks and products.

 

Dr. Englund also maintains a half-time appointment at Washington State University’s Composite Materials and Engineering Center. He holds a Ph.D in Civil Engineering focusing on processing of wood composites.
